Zambia Reports, a so called news portal, has a peculiar habit of concealing the truth and spreading the lies. Over a specific time period, it has fulfilled the objective of its financier, the Ventriglia family. Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been the victim here as a weekly defamation campaign has assassinated his character and reputation in public.

In a recent article, Zambia Reports has proudly claimed that Dr. Rajan Mahtani is possessing the intent of taking over the Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia Ltd. The whole article talks about how a loan has to been forwarded to NCZ by the Finance Bank of Zambia and an arrangement has been made with a view to have the management of the borrower. However, the whole story doesn’t exist in reality.

The argument and claims made in the article written by the authors is purely imaginative. In reality, neither the Finance Bank, nor Dr. Rajan Mahtani himself has offered any loan facility to NZC. Zambia Reports has simply used its imagination to create a fictitious article and mislead the African citizens.

Mr. Nchito, a Zambian citizen, states, “Zambia Reports has been cursed by its own greed. It is absolutely ridiculous of them to do something as low as this. They put the journalism of Zambia to shame with their defamation campaign. Moreover, Sakwiba Sikota has lost all his morals and is looking forward to accumulate as much wealth as possible from the Ventriglias.”

To sum up, one can easily say that Zambia Reports has now become a portal which is full of lies and fabricated stories. It’s only intent is to ridicule people and fill their pockets with money that is offered by the conspirators. Where were they when their financiers had tried to tamper records with PACRA? Where was Zambia Reports when the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory’s cash box was looted?

When it comes to business, very few people in Zambia are as active as the chairman of the Mahtani Group of Companies, Dr. Rajan Mahtani. The slightest of opportunity gets converted into a handsome deal when Dr. Mahtani is one of the parties who is entertaining the deal. An exclusive example of his ability was displayed when MGC entered into a deal with the Sunbird Group to setup a new bio-ethanol plant in Luapula province.

According to the deal, the two giants would work on a project in the Luapula province where cassava will be used as a basic input to produce green energy. Moreover, the locals will also have an opportunity to get employed as 2, 000 direct vacancies are on offer. It is a well-known fact that presence of a factory in any region results is wide scale development of the area. Ranging from direct employments to indirect employment, almost every person in the area gets involved with it. Therefore, it is evident that the unemployment rate in the area will face a dramatic fall.

The estimated value of the project is close to USD $150 million and the project is scheduled to start in November 2015. This deal as come as a blessing in disguise for the locals. Sources, claim that an additional employment of 5, 000 workers will be made through indirect means. Ever since, the news regarding this deal has been spread amongst people of Luapula have started to celebrate this development. Dr. Rajan Mahtani, the former Chairman of Finance Bank Zambia, has taken one of the biggest initiative in the history of Zambia. He has taken the fight for the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory to the High Court with a view to preserve the interest of his Zambian brothers. An oppression which has continued ever since April 2015, will now soon come to an end as the date of hearing is approaching closer.

The Italian Mafias, also known as The Ventriglia family, has used a channel of corruption to fulfil its needs. In their quest of taking over the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory, they have successfully managed to bribe news portals as well as political figures. However, one thing that these Italian Mafias have forgot is that Zambia is not a land of corruption and when the Government fails to preserve the interest of the citizens, there are citizens like Dr. Rajan Mahtani, who will stand as a barrier between foreign Mafias and the dignity of Zambian citizens.

As a new week starts, the writers of the Zambia Reports are once again under the pressure to produce something which will harm the reputation of former Finance Bank Chairman, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, Zambia. To come up with something interesting and out of the box, this time the writers have used their imagination to create a story which talks about how Dr. Mahtani plans to grab the Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia Ltd (NCZ).

The storyline was quickly framed that NCZ has availed a loan from the Finance Bank and the conspirators wasted no time in claiming that the next step would be the foreclosure of the bank. However, the authors have once again to fail do their homework, or it can be regarded that they are not well versed with the banking rules in Zambia. The truth is that no loan has been forwarded to NCZ. It is rumours that are being transformed into a storyline.

Zambia Reports has once again tried to create a story against Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, Zambia, which is full of lies and based on imagination. In this way, they have only themselves to blame as they are constantly trying to mislead the public and unsettle the prevailing harmony in Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a reputed businessman is Zambia and most importantly, a pioneer of development. He has offered various loan facilities to numerous units, but the name of Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia Ltd., is nowhere in the list. Sadly, the conspirators have once again poked their nose in this regard. If the conspirators feel that they have a valid point, then they should come out in open and say the same. Hiding behind the curtains of Zambia Reports signifies their cowardness.

The workers of the Zambezi Portland Cement have been in a trauma for the past 6 months. During this period the management of the factory, the Ventriglia family, has implemented mismanagement in the best possible way to leak the factory cash into their personal bank accounts. However, during this massacre, there was one person who had the courage to raise his voice in front of the Italian Mafias. His name is Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani.

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is currently operating the Mahtani Group of Companies and is the former Chairman of Finance Bank Zambia. His popularity in Zambia is guided by two factors, namely, his dedication towards developing Zambia and his will to fight against the wrong. The Ventriglia family has tried numerous ways to harass Dr. Mahtani, but they have never been successful in operating their defamation campaign.

The news had put Zambia to shame as this level of corruption was never seen before. Thought the Ventriglia family has always tried to get things done through bribery and force, they have only managed to bag two in their favour, namely, Zambia Reports and Sakwiba Sikota. It is being rumoured that Rupiah Banda has also joined hands with the Ventriglias to settle scores against the former Finance Bank Chairman, one and only, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani.

The cases of individuals becoming rich from the rags have been witnessed by millions of companies and individuals. However, this time around, the story of Portland Cement Zambia has been tragic and mysterious, as the company that yielded a revenue of $5 million per month, is now running in losses.

The mysterious change in the revenue of this leading cement company has occurred following the change in management group six months ago. Ventriglia family took the initiative to run the Portland Cement factory legally. They have been handling the company for six months only, and Portland Cement Zambia has faced a steep downfall in this period.

Reports state that the Ventriglias, commonly known as the Italian Mafias, have mismanaged the operations of the company drastically. Apart from this, the harmony in the production and operation departments has been disrupted in the last six months, resulting in the losses. According to rumors, ill-treatment with workers and mismanagement of funds have been a common story in the Portland Cement Zambia’s premise.

The Ventriglia family has been accused of consistent bribery within the premise. Sources claim that they withdraw factory funds to boost up the balance of their off-shore personal bank accounts. This is not the first time that the existing management group is being accused of cheating the law and business.

Another occasion when the entire nation was shocked to see the true colors of Ventriglia family happened a few days ago; when the Italian Mafia’s lawyer forced changes in the records of PACRA unofficially. The management group claimed that Dr. Rajan Mahtani has connections with this Cement factory no more. However, PACRA took a needful step of rectifying the records as soon as it detected the nuisance caused by the Ventriglias.

With multiple attempts of cheating and bribery at the Portland Cement Zambia, one can determine that the only interest of the existing management group is to make personal profits, rather than company’s development.

Recently Dr. Rajan Mahtani returned from London where he was avail treatment for his poor health. As soon as he had stepped in Zambia, the conspirators once again got busy in preparing defamatory news for him. As per the latest article of Zambia Reports, Dr. Rajan Mahtani had travelled to England because he wanted to save himself from the clutches of law. However, the truth is totally the opposite!

Dr. Rajan Mahtani had gone abroad because he was suffering from poor health conditions. Immediate attention was required for him and hence, under serious circumstances he had to leave Zambia and the fight for Zambezi Portland Cement Factory. It’s a shame on the conspirators to disrespect a person like Dr. Rajan Mahtani. It is understood that they have a financial interest in this regard, but harassing a senior citizen is totally out of the context. This clearly indicates that the conspirators can go down to any level for the sake of few Kwachas.

If Zambia Reports feels that they are supporting the truth, then why did they keep silence when the lawyer of the Ventriglias tried to make the changes in PACRA’s record? Where were they when the cash box of Zambezi Portland Cement Factory was robbed day after day? Where were they when the Ventriglias were terminating employees without any feasible reason? The answer is behind the doors, where they were busy counting the revenue which were offered by the Ventriglias.

It is a shame that Zambia has to bear articles of Zambia Reports. Dr. Rajan Mahtani has constantly been targeted and attacked by the conspirators with the aid of fake claims. Sadly, the government of Zambia has nothing to protect the interest of its senior citizen nor has it come out with a solution to prevent this massacre.

The Zambezi Portland Cement factory has now turned into a place where corruption breeds and humanity cease to exist. Once upon a time, this factory bloomed under the influence of Dr. Rajan Mahtani and had registered a record production of 4, 70, 000 tonnes of cement in a year. However, after the factory was taken over by the Ventriglia family in April 2015, life at ZPC has come to a complete halt and all that matters to the new management group is the presence of offshore transfers.

Degrading conditions at the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory

The conditions in the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory has deteriorated to such low levels that the workers of the factory have lost faith in having a decent life. Most of the times they are not paid wages and the working conditions are simply inhumane. Hygiene factor was lost and gone long time back and the only ray of hope for the factory workers is the pending case where Finsbury Investments is fighting against the Ventriglia family.

Termination of employees in August 2015

It is being reported that about 47 workers were terminated from the factory because the management couldn’t find an adequate job for them. The step was taken without the consultation of Workers’ Union and no opportunity of being heard was offered to the workers.

Zambezi Portland Cement runs into a loss

For the first time in the history of Zambezi Portland Cement Factory, it has faced a loss. A cement factory whose potential is to generate about US $ 5 million per month has faced a loss because of poor management and financial drain. The reason behind this downfall is none other than the Ventriglia family. They have simply tried to extract as much money as possible from the factory and transfer the same to their personal bank accounts.
