Portland Cement Zambia, or better known as Zambezi Portland Cement, has been reduced to the value of a dirt in the last one year. The Ventriglia family headed by Antonio Ventriglia, have made sure that they are able to steal every single penny from the factory and then transfer the same to their personal bank account in Italy. This is why, when they took over the factory not a single dollar was deposited in any bank which operated in Zambia. The revenue was being deposited at an offshore bank account and the whole operation continued to deplete the resources of the factory.

How the loot took place at Portland Cement Zambia

Once the Ventriglia family was able to get to the management seat, there was a widespread of loot. Right from factory cash box to free cement distribution for the loyalist. Everyone is well aware of the fact that Sakwiba Sikota, the lawyer for the Ventriglia took cement from the factory at free of cost to build his own mansion. This may be regarded as an award that the Ventriglia family offered to the lawyer for this contribution in the defamation campaign of Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Apart from the cement loot, the conspirators also created dummy companies to transfer the assets of the factory. The property of the factory and 43 trucks now belong to companies which are indirectly owned and managed by Antonio Ventriglia and his family members.

The most shocking fact of this incident is that the Government of Zambia has paid no attention to the mayhem which has been caused by the Mafias. They have simply chose to ignore this and let the exploitation take place. As per latest reports, the factory operations have already been terminated since December 2015 and the Ventriglia family is planning to wind up the factory and flee to Italy.
