Dr. Rajan Mahtani recently faced another defamation campaign from the notorious Zambia Reports. This time ZR used Finance Bank for defaming Dr. Mahtani. As usual, the article written by Zambia Reports was anonymous. Any sane individual reading the article will understand that it is less of factual news and more of a defamation agenda, targeting one individual- Dr. Rajan Mahtani.
The incidents presented in the article clearly indicate that it is just a method for grabbing attention of locals and distracting Dr. Mahtani from its businesses. It has no link to reality whatsoever. Finance Bank Zambia, which is currently managed by BancABC, gave a loan to Lamsaat amount USD 10,000,000. Lamsaat agreed to pay the amount in instalments with interest. As a result, when Lamsaat started deferring from its contract, the bank was forced to make the call for repayment. It is a very common procedure for banks. The incident would have been resolved peacefully if not for Zambia Report. The news channel claimed that the call for repayment was actually made on Dr. Mahtani’s suggestion and he is still secretly controlling Finance Bank. They also went on saying that it is an old habit of Dr. Mahtani to put firms in such situations in order to gain control of them. Why would Dr. Mahtani control the Bank if he was the one who sold it in first place? Food for thought for Zambia Reports!
The article has received a lot of backlash from locals and condemn from its peers. If one looks closely at the incident, one thing is pretty clear. It is only Zambia Reports that publishes maligning content against Dr. Rajan Mahtani on a regular basis. No other news agency publishes similar news, not without any fact. And the fact is that, Zambia Reports publishes these defamatory articles on a monthly basis to fulfil its quota. This quota is given by its financers and handlers who are essentially the conspirators of Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Dr. Mahtani has left pondering over these meaningless articles and campaign and continues to work towards the growth and development of the nation.
