Dr.Rajan Mahtani has been working for more than 40 years to enhance Zambia and its people in terms of economic, social, and philanthropic progress. Finsbury Investments and the Mahtani Group of Companies are two of the elite organizations run by Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was presented with one of the prestigious Forbes “Best of Africa” awards for his consistent and long-term efforts for Zambia and its people. Dr.Rajan Mahtani received the honor in 2021 during the Forbes-FIN Philanthropy and Leadership roundtable conference. Notably, Dr.Rajan Mahtani was also invited to this conference and spoke as an honorary guest, focusing on the value of management in the healthcare industry. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic, both the Forbes awards ceremony and the roundtable conference were hosted online, and attendees participated or joined the event from their home regions. Dr.Rajan Mahtani was awarded Forbes’ “Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year” title for his considerable contributions to the Zambian economy and its citizens in 2021. Dr. Rajan Mahtani’s major efforts to modernize Zambia’s banking sector were one of the main reasons he was given the prize. In addition, Dr. Mahtani was renowned for his charitable works, including Prison Fellowship Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani recently stated his full support for the announcement made by the president of Zambia in which he announced his desire to entirely abolish the death penalty. The decision made by the President of Zambia is a step in the right direction, according to Dr. Rajan Mahtani, who has repeatedly stated that the death penalty is harsh, disgusting, and cruel. Dr. Rajan Mahtani further stated that his company Prison Fellowship Zambia will provide full legal and regulatory support towards the decision from the Zambian President.
